Mowelfund Film Institute to Conduct Summer Workshops
Workshop Begins May 28, 2019
The Mowelfund Film Institute (MFI) announces its schedule for the Intensive Filmmaking Workshop, as well as the Specialization Workshop, starting this month.
MFI Director and Mowelfund Board of Trustees Member Director Edgardo “Boy” Vinarao said that applications are now open for interested participants of these workshops. These will take place at the MFI venue in Quezon City, with the objective of catering to the needs of the mainstream film industry and independent cinema
The Intensive Filmmaking Workshop will have 26 lecture sessions from Tuesdays to Fridays beginning on May 28, 2019, after which pre-production, shoots, and edit will commence leading to a Graduation on September 6, 2019. This will focus on six essential filmmaking topics: Directing, Scriptwriting, Production Design, Acting, Production Management, Musical Scoring, Prosthetic and Special Make Up, Cinematography, Editing (Final Cut Program)and Sound Recording & Mix.
The Specialization Workshop is for those who want to focus on particular core competencies of filmmaking. For four weekends (6 days each discipline and 2 days lecture for Production Management) starting on June 15 participants may choose from the following: Directing, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, and Scriptwriting.
